First Aid for parents
Western Medical Services are delighted to be able to deliver our new parents first aid course ‘Plasters or Paediatrics’.
Our tailor made course is designed to help educate parents and guardians on the most common ailments seen in children, ranging from home treatments to when you will need A&E treatment.
Subjects include:-

Head injuries

Recognising the unwell child and temperatures

Sepsis and meningitis

Breathing problems

Diarrhoea and vomiting
The purpose of this course is to provide the basic knowledge and skills necessary to be ready should your child become unwell. Teaching you what to do and who to call.
This course will :-

Be taught by Paramedics and A&E nurses.

Help you understand when your child requires 999, A&E or the GP.

Help you develop the skills needed to deal with a life threatening emergency with your child.
Our courses are taught nationwide, based on booking needs.

First Aid at work course
Western Medical Services are delighted to announce to commencement of our new NUCO approved First aid at work course.
This will be an 18 hour, 3 day course.
First Aid at Work training is for people looking to become full first aiders in the workplace.
This comprehensive course will provide you with an in depth understanding of a broad range of first aid techniques and scenarios. This qualification is often a requirement if you work in environments such as construction, manufacturing or hospitality.

Emergency First Aid at work course (EFAW)
Western Medical Services are delighted to announce the launch of their Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course.

– Tea/coffee included
– Groups from 4-12 people
– Can be taught in your workplace or external
– Certificate provided
– Valid for 3 years
Our Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) training is a 1 day first aid training course that builds confidence & teaches skills so you can deal with life-threatening first aid emergencies.
Considered the national standard, this course covers a broad range of topics.
The course is tailored for people working in a low-risk environments and for the general public wishing to learn new skills.
